The paper presents results of numerical simulations of the electron dynamics in the field of the azimuthal and longitudinal waves excited in the channel of a stationary plasma thruster (SPT). The simulations are based on the experimentally determined wave characteristics. The simulation results show that the azimuthal wave displayed as ionization instability enhances electron transport along the thruster channel. It is established that the electron transport rate in the azimuthal wave increases as compared to the rate of diffusion caused by electron scattering from neutral atoms in proportion to the ratio between the times of electron? neutral collisions responsible for ionization and elastic electron scattering, respectively. An expression governing the plasma conductivity is derived with allowance for electron interaction with the azimuthal wave. The Hall parameter, the electron component of the discharge current, and the electron heating power in the thruster channel are calculated for two model SPTs operating with krypton and xenon. The simulation results agree well with the results of experimental studies of these two SPTs. 相似文献

High-energy proton microscopy provides unique capabilities in penetrating radiography including the combination of high spatial resolution and field-of-view, dynamic range of density for measurements, and reconstructing density variations to less than 1% inside volumes and in situ environments. We have recently proposed to exploit this novel proton radiography technique for image-guided stereotactic particle radiosurgery. Results of a first test for imaging biological and tissue-equivalent targets with high-energy (800 MeV) proton microscopy are presented here. Although we used a proton microscope setup at ITEP (Moscow, Russia) optimized for fast dynamic experiments in material research, we could reach a spatial resolution of 150 μm with approximately 1010 protons per image. The potential of obtaining high-resolution online imaging of the target using a therapeutic proton beam in the GeV energy region suggests that high-energy proton microscopy may be used for image-guided proton radiosurgery. 相似文献

Six nonallelic genes have been discovered in rye, the recessive mutations of which lead to a lack of anthocyanin. Crosses with these mutants showed that 13 new anthocyaninless lines carry mutations in the gene vi1, whereas vi2/6 mutations were identified only in single cases. Inheritance of the vi1/6 mutations in the progeny of hybrids with the wild type (Line 7, L7) corresponds to a monohybrid segregation. Segregation for three of these mutations (vi2, vi4, and vi5) in hybrids with line 2 is characterized by anthocyaninless deficiency in plants. We discuss the reasons for such deviations and the previously published data for the identification of the six anthocyanin pigmentation genes in the rye using trisomic analysis. 相似文献

Conditions for the propagation in soil of current pulses with an amplitude of up to 85 kA and temporal characteristics typical of a lightning stroke are studied with the help of a specially designed mobile test complex on the basis of a 4-MJ capacitive energy storage with an output voltage of up to 2 MV. In contrast to the conventional opinion that the ionization processes in highly conductive soils are weakly pronounced, a dramatic reduction in the grounding resistance at a resistivity of about 100 Ω m and currents above 10 kA was observed. A time interval in which the grounding resistance is determined by the skin effect in soil is revealed. It is shown that the grounding resistance continues to decrease behind the front of the current pulse due to the continuous growth of spark channels in soil. Time variations in the grounding resistance cannot be related to the formation of a continuous ionization zone near the grounding electrodes and are explained only by the simultaneous growth of several long spark channels extending from the grounding device. 相似文献

Detailed comparative-histological data on localization and morphological peculiarities of catecholamine-, serotonin-, neurotensin-and FMRFamide-containing elements in the nemertine digestive system are presented for the first time. Using fluorescent histochemistry and immunohistochemistry, pharynx, esophagus, and midgut were studied in five species from three genera of the White Sea nemertines. Described in various nemertine species are intra-and subepithelial cells of the open and closed type, containing biologically active substances. Their processes are distributed in basi-and subepithelial nerve plexuses and can make contact with lumen of the digestive tract. Species-specificity in localization of the cells containing certain biologically active substances is noticed both along the length of the tract and with respect to its epithelial layer. Peculiarities and common regularities in distribution are discussed, as well as a possible function of monoamine-and peptide-containing elements in the digestive tract of the studied nemertines and other invertebrates. 相似文献

Marine amebae of the genus Paramoeba (Amoebozoa, Dactylopodida) normally contain a eukaryotic endosymbiont known as Perkinsela‐like organism (PLO). This is one of the characters to distinguish the genera Neoparamoeba and Paramoeba from other Dactylopodida. It is known that the PLO may be lost, but PLO‐free strains of paramoebians were never available for molecular studies. Recently, we have described the first species of the genus Paramoeba which has no parasome—Paramoeba aparasomata. In this study, we present a mitochondrial genome of this species, compare it with that of Neoparamoeba pemaquidensis, and analyze the evolutionary dynamics of gene sequences and gene order rearrangements between these species. The mitochondrial genome of P. aparasomata is 46,254 bp long and contains a set of 31 protein‐coding genes, 19 tRNAs, two rRNA genes, and 7 open reading frames. Our results suggest that these two mitochondrial genomes within the genus Paramoeba have rather similar organization and gene order, base composition, codon usage, the composition and structure of noncoding, and overlapping regions. 相似文献

The prevalence of processes of the increase in abundance and changes in the sexual structure of Prussian carp populations in waterbodies differing dramatically in ecological properties and distant from each other (Lake Sevan and Rybinsk Reservoir) indicates the presence of global factors affecting climatic zones. The increase in environmental temperature due to global warming may be such a factor. Experimentally proven high thermophilicity and the thermal stability of Prussian carp, as well as its low sensitivity to hypoxia, provide some advantages for this species over many other fish inhabiting the same waterbodies. 相似文献
